Kahayan: Journal of Economic Studies and Research is a scholarly journal that publishes original research findings in the fields of economics, business, finance, regional economic development, and applied economic studies. Within economics, the journal covers topics such as microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis, evaluation of economic policies, economic development studies, monetary and fiscal studies, welfare economics, environmental economics, and economic modeling. In the areas of business and finance, the journal features studies on financial management, investment strategies, corporate governance, financial technology (FinTech), entrepreneurship development, MSME studies, and organizational management. In the field of regional and applied economics, manuscripts may address economic growth indicators, labor market analysis, rural and community economics, regional economic policy, public financial management, and sustainable economic development.

Kahayan publishes articles online immediately after they are accepted. Typically, after a manuscript is submitted, the editorial and review process takes approximately one to two months. Once an article successfully passes the peer-review stage, it is published promptly without waiting for the release of a complete issue.
