Plagiarism Policy
Isen Mulang: Journal of Education and Learning strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism and ensures that every submitted manuscript is screened for similarity using reliable plagiarism detection software before entering the review stage.
Forms of plagiarism that are not tolerated include:

Direct plagiarism: copying text without citation

Paraphrased plagiarism: rewording ideas without acknowledgment

Idea plagiarism: adopting ideas or concepts without proper credit

Self-plagiarism: reusing one’s own previously published content without disclosure

Duplicate submission/publication: submitting or publishing the same work in more than one journal
Similarity Limits
Accepted similarity threshold:

Maximum 20% including references, or
-
Maximum 25% excluding references
Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be returned to authors for revision or rejected.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all quoted or adapted material is properly cited.
AI Use Policy
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in writing is allowed only for supportive functions, and not as a source of intellectual or research content.
AI usage that is permitted:
✔ Grammar checking and proofreading
✔ Language editing and sentence refinement
✔ Format or reference organization assistance
Examples: Grammarly, AI grammar assistant, reference managers
AI usage that is prohibited:
❌ Generating full manuscript content
❌ Producing research data, results, interpretations, or literature analysis
❌ Creating false references or citations
❌ Writing methodology or findings without validation
Authors must take full responsibility for originality, accuracy, and integrity of the manuscript.
AI Use Declaration
If AI tools are used, authors must declare their usage in the Acknowledgment section.
Example statement:
"The authors used AI-based tools only for grammar refinement and technical editing. All research findings, arguments, analyses, and conclusions are the sole responsibility of the authors."
Ethical Action for Violations
If evidence of plagiarism or unethical AI use is found, the journal may:

Return the manuscript for correction

Reject the manuscript

Withdraw the article after publication (retraction)

Notify the author's institution
All violations are treated seriously to uphold academic ethics and publication credibility.
