Maneser: Journal of Religion, Spirituality, and Culture is a scholarly journal that publishes research articles, theoretical studies, and academic reflections in the fields of religion, spirituality, and the relationship between religiosity, culture, and social life. The journal provides a platform for interdisciplinary studies that explore how religion and spirituality are understood, practiced, and interpreted within various cultural, social, philosophical, psychological, and educational contexts.
This journal accommodates scholarly works that examine religious practices, personal spirituality, local belief traditions, theological studies, interfaith dialogue, spiritual development, the formation of religious identity, and contemporary religious phenomena in society. In addition, Maneser places particular emphasis on the relationship between religion and culture, including religious expressions within cultural traditions, community rituals, local wisdom, religious symbols in social life, and the transformation of religiosity within modern cultural contexts.
Maneser welcomes manuscripts that investigate spiritual experiences, religious ethical values, religious education, spiritual counseling, ritual practices and cultural religious traditions, as well as shifts in religiosity in modern and globalized societies. The journal accepts a variety of research approaches, including qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, phenomenology, hermeneutics, textual analysis, case studies, ethnography, and other interdisciplinary approaches relevant to the study of religion, spirituality, and culture.
The journal publishes manuscripts online-first immediately after acceptance. The review and editorial process typically takes one to two months, making it suitable for authors who require timely publication for academic purposes, research reporting, or professional development.
Although articles are published continuously throughout the year, the journal releases two official issues annually, in May and December, ensuring that each article is formally recorded within a structured and documented volume.
The journal does not charge Article Processing Charges (APC), allowing free access for students, early-career researchers, academics, and practitioners in the fields of religion and culture.
With a constructive peer-review process, a competent editorial team, rapid publication, and an interdisciplinary scope, Maneser: Journal of Religion, Spirituality, and Culture aims to serve as an inclusive academic platform for the dissemination of knowledge and the advancement of scholarly studies on the dynamics of religion, spirituality, and culture in human life.
