Section Policies

1. Manuscript Policy

Hambaruan Journal accepts manuscripts that meet the following criteria:

  • The manuscript has not been previously published in any form

  • It is not under review in another journal

  • It presents original scientific contribution

  • It follows the journal’s formatting and guidelines

Any indication of duplicate publication, plagiarism, or unethical manuscript submission will result in immediate rejection.

2. Publication Ethics Policy

This journal adheres to publication ethics guided by:

  • Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

  • National and institutional research ethics regulations

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The study is conducted ethically, especially when involving humans or children

  • Data are presented accurately without fabrication or manipulation

  • All referenced work and sources are properly cited

3. Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts will undergo similarity checking before review.

The similarity threshold is:

  • ≤ 20% including bibliography, or

  • ≤ 25% excluding bibliography

Manuscripts exceeding these limits may be returned for revision or rejected.

4. Peer Review Policy

Every manuscript submitted to Hambaruan Journal will undergo:

  • Double-blind peer review

  • Evaluation by at least two independent reviewers

Reviewer decisions remain confidential, and the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations.

5. Copyright and Licensing Policy

  • Authors retain copyright of their manuscripts.

  • Submission of manuscripts grants the journal the right to publish the work.

  • This journal applies Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) licensing.

  • Authors may disseminate their published articles as long as proper citation is included.

6. Open Access Policy

This journal practices full Open Access, meaning:

  • All articles are freely accessible without subscription fees

  • Users may read, download, distribute, or cite the content

  • Proper attribution to the published article is required

7. Publication Fee Policy

The journal implements:

  • No Article Processing Charge (APC)

  • Free submission and publication process

There are no hidden fees, access fees, or payment requests at any stage.

8. Publication Schedule Policy

The journal publishes:

  • Twice a year (May and December)

  • Articles online using rolling publication

  • Articles appear individually once accepted, without waiting for full issue compilation

9. Correction and Retraction Policy

Retractions, corrections, or clarifications will be issued if:

  • Major errors or academic misconduct are identified post-publication

  • Data manipulation, plagiarism, or ethical violations are confirmed

  • Requested formally by authors or institutions

Correction notices will be publicly visible and linked to the original article.
